Obama Warned

The American Association for Justice (the kinder, gentler American Trial Lawyers Association) is warning President Obama that tort reform is not an issue he ought to be digging around in. Not if he knows what's good for him.

Here you go again, Buckeye. You have a thoughtful opinion on nearly everything you write about (even if not always correct, you at least put some thought into it). When it comes to tort reform, you resort to a photo of John Edwards riding a shark? C'mon, that's very Fox News of you. Lay off the "sound bites" and consider the real issues. Tort reform is not your answer, it's insurance reform. (By the way, what type of threats do you think the insurance industry lobbyists have made to Congressmen over the past several months while they consider the health care bill?)

AA-
You got to admit ----it's a funny picture. My thoughts on tort reform are per my previous post. If any meaningful reform is to be made in healthcare, opposing sides need to assume a stance of compromise. For the president of ATLA to outright condemn any possibility of adjusting the tort status quo---that's simply not reasonable.
