Time to Leave
Enough is enough? Remember, this adventure in Afghanistan has gone on longer than the Vietnam War.

Couldn't agree more, Buckeye. And if we ended our foreign wars, we would have plenty of money in the federal budget to provide assistance to the States so police, firefighters and teachers could be paid the pensions they contributed to for their entire careers. Our gov't spends a ton of money killing innocent Afghan boys and busts the unions of working class Americans at home. Our current gov't is despicable.
Buckeye this whole war thing really infuriates me too. I'm like Charlie Sheen with respect to the fact that I have "tiger blood" running through my body and I wouldn't send Obama, Bush, Clinton, or Cheney's children to fight in both of our illegal wars. I really believe if you think a war is necessary then you should be willing to fight in it and have your children do the same. By that standard these wars would not be happening. Just like Pat Tillman's letter home to his wife said "I wish these wars were about more than money, power, and oil, but their not".
And I love how the NY Times refers to the perpetrators as "NATO helicopter gunners". Nothing like a little whitewash of reality. Because it's not like "Americans" would ever have anything to do with murder/collateral damage.
